From late 2004 to the present, Custom Builder Management Solutions (CBMS)has been implemented with over 250 Builders and Remodelers in 39 States, the District of Columbia, and four Canadian Provinces.

Nate and Bill Schoen (the program’s co-creators) applied for and received a U.S. Copyright for the CBMS contents, structure, and format in August 2004. They formed Bridgewater Consulting that same year and began offering the ‘Solutions’ to Builders and Remodelers.

Finally, instructions are provided to take advantage of the database capabilities of Microsoft Outlook. The goal is to run a complete management system utilizing the Microsoft Office Programs usually pre-installed on your computer.
